Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2024-03-19

Hello everyone, apologies for late report, NEX anchored in Fondeadero. 110 ft depth, 3 shots paid out, northerly wind 10-15 kts and 2 ft seas in the anchorage, sky overcast, air temp 24 C and water temp 23C, viz 20 meters plus.

We started our day diving the Boiler, we had 2 pretty good dives there but wx was not the best for our guests, therefore we moved to this side of the island and had an epic dive in the lava finger.

There were lots of sharks, hammerhead schooling and being very curious, they approached like they never do. We were able to see them for almost the entire dive, Galapagos sharks were there and an oceanic black tip.

All guests enjoyed the dive a lot, in this moment dive number 4 is going on and hopefully will be as good as the others.
Our plan is to have dinner on the hook and around 2300 start to make way back to Cabo.
