Captain’s Noon Reports – Under Sea – 2024-03-30

NUS Anchored at 19°19.6N-110°48.7W, in 103 ft of depth in the Boiler area, San Benedicto Island. The sky is partly cloudy, air temperature 73°F, with a pleasant breeze of 4 knots west and swell 5ft long period from the NW.

Two dives were made this morning in the Boiler with Visibility of 30ft, water temperature 73°F and very light current towards the South. The divers saw 2 chevron mantas, some Galapagos and heard the song of the dolphins but they did not see them, also a Humpback Whale and her calf arrived at the Boiler on the NW side very close but they did not see it.

Next dive. The plan is to do two more dives in the afternoon and sail to Roca Partida to dive tomorrow.
