Gallant Lady is anchored at Bahia de Los Suenos today. Wind is currently northerly 20kts plus, sky partly cloudy, air temp 24C, water temp 22C.
After the sun went down and all guests were back onboard last night from our Orca encounter, we headed south and ran overnight to get down here tucked in out of the strong northerlies expected over the next couple of days. On arrival, it wasn’t bad yet and we got to see a pod of bottlenose playing in the wake and a humpie cruising by.
Guests got out in the rhib for a morning search, and although we were able to find a school of mobulas with the drone, they stayed a little too deep for the snorkelers to get in with. Right now, conditions are very choppy and windy, too much to do any kind of search, and the NGL will remain anchored tucked in the bay.
We’ll give options for a reef dive that’s close the anchorage in the shelter and a shore hike. More of the same tomorrow. Last two days of the trip look great to get back out for bigger animal searching.
Guests are great, all had some great interaction with the Orcas yesterday.
