Captain’s Noon Reports – Under Sea – 2024-04-15

NUS Anchored at 19°17.6N-110°48.5W, in 55ft depth, El Cañon, San Benedicto Island, air temperature 73°F, sky is partly cloudy. The N wind was blowing strongly early in the morning for more than 20 knots and now getting better, we have waves that enter the shelter of 3 ft.

This morning two dives were made, the first dive in the Anchorage check-out dive and it was successfully all divers without problems.

For the second dive, the scenario was Canyon and during the dive, they saw 2 different Tiger Sharks, which just passed without showing interest in the divers, very shy, and some Galapagos sharks, Silvertips at the cleaning station, the manta rays have not appeared yet.

Visibility 60ft, water temperature 77° F, and without current. On the afternoon we have two more dives and the plan for tomorrow is Cabo Pearce on Socorro Island.

We are alone in San Benedicto.
