Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2024-04-17

19.17.714N – 110.48.725W, we are in San Benedicto Island, diving Leather Bass Alley and the Canyon today. At this very second, weather conditions above water are nice light NW breeze, with some wild gusts up to 12 kts, long period 3ft NW swell.

Underwater the conditions are okay but the surge is making it a bit uncomfortable for guests to stay in one place. Apart from that they like the dives, so far they have seen tons of sharks (silver tips, Galapagos, silkies, and a couple of hammerheads) some have also seen mantas there were two of them on the second dive.

Visibility averages 40ft, little to no current just the surge, water temperature is 76F same as air. Lots of other fish and the highlight of the first dive was the bunch of lobsters they saw.

Cloudy skies, today we are sharing the site with another two boats.
