Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2024-04-17

Good afternoon, NEX at anchor in Punta Tosca, wind: N 10-12 Kts, Sea 3-4 ft (on shelter), swell upon 8 ft outside, 8-9 sec period approx. partially cloudy.

The underwater conditions were changing this morning being no current in the morning, and medium current to the SW on the second dive, a surge on the inner finger, and one group found a descending current close to the exterior finger.

The first dive was good, 3 chevron mantas and 1 black, 3 dolphins, white tips, and a Tortuga. The second dive was quiet, only 2 mantas and one silky.

Yesterday afternoon was good, Galapagos, silvertip, 8 Hammerheads, and school of Jacks.

After third dive, we are going to the navy base and then we go to Cabo Pearce.
