At our safety stop, a small curious silky shark swam very close, then swam down to examine the line tied to the surface marker buoy. It then rubbed its body on the line, swam back up to us, circled around several times, then dove down again to rub against the line. This continued for our entire three minute safety stop, and then the curious shark swam off.
