Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2024-05-03

NEX at anchor in Fondeadero, San Benedicto Island, wind 6-10 Kts, gusts of 14-16 kts, Sea 1 ft max. Good dives this morning.

On the first one, the visibility was close but they got a manta swimming around almost the whole dive.

On the second dive, the visibility got much better above 20 meters and the water temp was 23 degrees Celsius, and they found a lot of sharks on the cleaning station, silvertips, and Galapagos, also a school of cotton mouth jacks. Out of the cleaning station they found hammerheads, around 10-12 individuals.

Yesterday afternoon in the Boiler dives 3 and 4 were good also, Mantas and jacks, a school of hammerheads around 20 individuals, and trains of yellowfin tuna. The visibility was good.

We have one guest kayaking now, all guests doing it good.
