Going to Socorro on the Nautilus Bel Amie was our first liveaboard experience and we consider ourselves incredibly lucky to have had this as our first experience. The crew was amazing and the animal encounters were unreal. We saw the friendliest giant mantas, sharks, dolphins, eels, fish, and the largest lobsters we’d seen in our lives. The intensity of the trip self selects for fellow passengers who are incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about scuba and marine life and we learned so much throughout our trip. The dive guides were fantastic and always made sure that we were briefed appropriately. The boat also had strict safety protocols to ensure that we would be covered in the case of an emergency. Though it was our first liveaboard experience, there were many people who had done this trip before, as well as countless liveaboards around the world. Everyone conceded that this crew was one of the hardest working and kindest crews they had ever encountered. We had a fantastic time and hope to return one day.
