Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2024-05-12

18.59.364N – 112.05.005W vessel anchored in 245FT of water, this morning wind was doing 16kts NW, has been getting better with the hours now is down to 6kts same direction.

Long period big 8ft NW swell, boat is doing good, dive platform is no problem, air temperature is 78F, water today has a visibility of 100plus feet little current running to the west, water temperature is 78F.

Guests enjoying Roca Partida, the east side of the rock had the most action in the two morning dives, loads of fish, white tip reef shark packed them self-up in the balconies, along with huge lobster, guests found two octopus and they focused on them, other loved the silver tips, some like the yellowfin tunas better.

Juan David found a school of wahoo, cotton mouth and horse eyed jacks sharing the east side of the rock, early morning and while doing briefing, dolphins kept leaping out of the water but as soon as divers went in they went away.
