Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2024-05-12

NEX anchored at Cabo Pearce, wind blowing from North-Northwest about 10 – 12 kt. Calm in the sheltered side of the point and a little choppy at the dive site, waves are 2 – 3 ft. Air temp. 28°C, Sunny. Water temp. 26°C.

Sharing the dive site with the “Undersea Hunter”. Diving conditions are ok, Good viz (20 m.) low current going south, divers could see dolphins, hammerheads sharks, three mantas and tons of bonito passing over the reef in the first dive.

On the second dive, there were mantas, white tips sharks, a big school of bonito swimming around. Conditions are improving, wind is calming down. Water temp. is the same as in the morning (26°C). Passengers are happy with the diving. They are having lunch at this moment and enjoying the day so far.
