Nautilus Explorer greeted us with such a professional, friendly, and safety-oriented crew. As an experienced scuba diver, they still briefed us and guided us every step of the way. I always felt safe, and they were punctual and helpful for all of the 3, but mostly 4 dives a day. We would wake up to breakfast #1, yogurts, breads, fruits and coffees, go for the first dive. Wash, rinse, repeat. What can I say- complete and tasty meals throughout the day, beverages after each dive, bar and dinner after dives were done- always with dessert! The crew was so, so attentive throughout every part of the day. The chef! You barely saw him, so busy in the kitchen, and thoughtful, wanting everyone to have a superior dining experience, even for snacks!
There were dry, fresh towels every day, and rooms were cleaned daily. Everyone had their own dive area with personal cubbies below where we could store our personal equipmnet. Tanks were swiftly refilled between dives. Drive groups and divemasters were rotated daily and fairly, and we had our fins and cameras handed to us at the pangas comfortably. Same on the way out of the dives- weight belts, BCD up with the crew help, and all taken onboard for you. Felipe, our dive guide, always tried to find extra sea life for us, even when mantas were out and about- a tiger shark here, a hammerhead there…Sea life in Socorro was more than expected. We encountered mantas on most dives, dolphins on 25% of them, all interactive with the divers! Hammerheads, galapagos sharks and silkies were present on a fair number of dives. Captain Gordon watched the weather closely, and under windy conditions, was able to safely take us to Roca Partida and The Boiler sites despite the wind! We also got to experience large schools of jacks, yellowfin tuna, bonito, whitetip sharks, octopus and so so much more. Not once bothered by a triggerfish! Would recommend more than Maldives and Galapagos! Nautilus and Socorro are A plus for a safety based, beautiful experience!
Have fun with them! You will not regret it!
