Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2024-05-24

NEX anchored near the Canyon today. Wind is 10-15 from the NW, 2′ of swell in the anchorage with a very light chop, clear skies, air temp in the high 20’s. Water temp down here warmer than yesterday, up around 24-25C, and beautiful viz at the canyon today around 20-25m. Current mild/moderate.

We’re here with the Southern Sport and one other small private yacht also just pulled up. Having a great day of diving here today, with a small school of around 20 hammerheads around on both dives, a Tiger shark sighted on both morning dives, as well as lots of Galapagos and silver-tips around the cleaning station.

The guests have had loads of mantas this week and really wanted a sharky day so today has rounded out the trip nicely. Departing tonight for Cabo.
