Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2024-06-09

Today NEX anchored close to El Boiler in San Benedicto Island. Weather much better than yesterday, gentle breeze from NW (6 Kt), cloudy but warm (26°C), 5 ft. swell from NW and slow current going North.

We have done 2 dives in the morning. The first one at 07:00 am. It was wonderful, the guests saw 4 mantas all the dive, they were very friendly, also there was a small group of dolphins interacting with the divers. Some of the divers saw a tiger shark and numerous Galapagos sharks. Visibility is about 15 m. a little dark because is cloudy. Water temperature 24°C.

In the second dive, the divers saw many kinds of sharks, there were Galapagos sharks, silver tip sharks, white tip reef sharks and a hammer head shark too. Three mantas and tons of colorful fish everywhere. The guests are very happy with all they have seen on this trip.
