Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2024-06-14

Hi to everyone, NEX is anchored south El Boiler NW San Benedicto Island. Weather is really nice, calm seas, gentle breeze coming from NW, about 2 to 4 Kt. Sky partially cloudy, air temperature is 23°C, no current, visibility about 25 m. Water temperature is 20°C.

In the first dive, the guests could see many mantas (at least 5) flying around the dive site, a group of 20 dolphins interacting with the divers, many white tip sharks, some silvertip sharks, and a big shark at the distance that seemed to be a tiger shark, but it was hard to identify. Also, tons of fish everywhere. An at the end of this dive, a big school of tuna passed under the pangas.

The second dive was a little slow but spectacular, mantas were still around performing a great show, playing around among the divers. They saw white tip sharks and a couple of silver tip sharks. But the mantas show was awesome. Guests are really enchanted with this dive site, very happy.
