Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2024-06-16

Hi, Nex is still at Roca Partida, second day. Weather is good today; wind increased a little but it’s nice for diving (10 – 12 Kt,).  Swells are about 3 to 5 ft. high. Air temperature is 26°C, partially cloudy. Under water conditions are excellent for diving. Visibility is about 30 m. low current going SSW, short choppy in the surface but calm in the deep.

The first dive started at 7:00 am. And it was great, the divers saw a gigantic school of bonito mixed with tuna they were around the pinnacle for almost the whole dive. The guests also saw many white tips reef sharks laying in the balconies of the rock, pilling one over the others. They also saw a big Galapagos shark and tons of reef fish all over the area.

On the second dive, action was spectacular as well, the school of bonito was there, the Galapagos shark and a couple of silkies shark were there.

The passengers are really happy with the action that they have had here!
