Captainโ€™s Noon Reports โ€“ Explorer โ€“ 2024-06-17

Hello, NEX is anchored at Punta Tosca, West of Socorro Island. The day started cloudy, and it’s been clearing during the morning. Wind has been blowing from NW at 10 – 12 kt. Swells are about 3 – 5 ft.  high. Temperature 25ยฐC – 27ยฐC.

We have done 2 dives so far.

The first one was good Water temperature is 22ยฐC, slow current going SW visibility about 15 m. The divers saw three mantas 2 of them were with 2 groups in the outer finger and 1 with one group in the inner finger, the guests could also see a tiger shark and thousands ok reef fish also some white tips sharks and numerous lobsters.

In the second dives, the divers saw three mantas for the whole dive, some white tips sharks and a silky shark too. And lots of reef fish everywhere. Conditions under water were the same than in the morning.
