Captainโ€™s Noon Reports โ€“ Belle Amie โ€“ 2024-07-04

Belle Amie anchored near the Boiler today. Weather at the moment is overcast with some light rain showers, 5-10kts from the north, swell NW 3ft, air temp 25C. Underwater the temp is 21C, viz a blue 20m plus, current moderate from the north.

Very smooth transit overnight last night and two good dives here this morning. Some dolphins came by to visit briefly during dive 1 with 3 mantas showing up at the end of the dive, sticking around for the entire second dive. 45 min of up close and personal manta loving for all.

The older gentleman hasn’t been diving really on this trip, he was happy with his manta dive on the checkout dive on day 1. But today Eline took him diving just now, after the scheduled second dive for a one on one here at the Boiler and they had 2 mantas coming in and staying with them for the whole dive, so he was very grateful for that experience.

A nice way to finish the last day of the last trip of the season. 2 more dives here at San Benedicto and we’ll probably get underway around 2100hrs after trivia night.
