Captain’s Noon Reports – Under Sea – 2024-08-01

NUS Anchored at 28°56.1N-113°29.1W, Bay of Los Angeles, clear sky, air temperature 92°F, with a nice breeze of 7 knots from the east and no waves at the anchorage.

This morning just before entering the bay a mega pod of Common Dolphins welcomed us. The local guides arrived on time and at 0900 hrs all the guests were already on their way to the action, they had encounters with many Whale Sharks, which the guests had to move so they wouldn’t be run over and hundreds of Mobulas that arrived while they were snorkelling with the Whale Sharks. The Local Guides says is one of the best day with Whale Sharks of the season today. Now they are at Lunch and waiting for the second round and more action with the Whale Sharks. And we plan a dive in the afternoon. Plan for tomorrow is San Pedro Martir Island, the capital of the sea lions.
