Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2024-09-09

Belle Amie is at San Ildefonso today. It was very calm weather early in the morning and later wind picked up to 5 kt SE, sky was clear without any cloud, the sea SE 1-2ft SE, air temp 36C, air pressure 1022mb. Diving conditions have been very good, visibility, around 15-17m, water temp 28-30C and current moderate.

Yesterday afternoon at Las Animas the visibility was also very good. Guests were very happy especially with last dive. They have seen a lot of small, interesting creatures, turtles, octopuses, sea horses, stingrays and two groups have seen hammerheads.

Today on arrival to San Ildefonso we dropped anchor at south side of the island. The diving was super nice as visibility was very good. The second dive we expected to be shorter but when the airplane arrived, we were still waiting for some divers to get out of the water.

It took a lot of time to get them on the skiffs and took them back to the boat and discharge all the tanks and equipment and get back all people in three skiffs.
