Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2024-09-10

NEX at anchor deep sounder 88 ft depth, Bahia Chatam Cocos Island. We have good weather inside the bay, wind blowing from SW 2-4 kts. Cloudy and rainy day, air temperature 26 Celcius, sea state inside the bay is calm. Outside the bay we have a little wind SW 12-14 kts sea state 3-5 ft.

Yesterday the last dive at the Ulloa site, in this last dive there were only 10 guests, since the others were a little tired, was little light. Guests saw some hammer sharks but only by passing, many reef fish but relaxing dive.

This morning one dive has been done one group in Manuelita Profundo other group in Manuelita Canal, Manuelita profundo was very good, with good visibility 24-26 mtrs., no current, water temperature 26 Celsius. Divers saw school hammer shark, Galapagos tuna yellow fin, eagle ray, many jacks. Other group in Manuelita Canal they saw school hammer shark, two mantas one chevron and one black, marbled ray, divers very happy.

On second dive one group was good visibility in Manuelita Profundo 24-26 mtrs and temp. 26 Celsius they saw hammerhead sharks, one Marlin and Galapagos. Another group in Manuelita Canal have the same opportunity of watching the big bank of hammer sharks, two frog fish.

Good visibility our guests continue happy.
