Captain’s Noon Reports – Gallant Lady – 2024-09-15

Good afternoon, everyone,

NGL at anchor at los Islotes Espirutu Santo. 90 ft depth 3 shots out. Weather Conditions South wind 10 kts, Seas 2 ft. Cloudy skies, air temp 33C.

Yesterday we did two dives. One dive at the south point of Danzante island El submarino, Beautifull dive, few guests said that dive was the best so far of the trip, water was crystal 15 plus viz, warm at surface. Guests were in love with the site, corals, tons of different kind of fishes, sea turtles, eels, one eagle ray. was an amazing dive.

The last dive of the day was at El Abismo in Carmen Island, a lot of black coral there as well as a lot of fishes, groupers, snappers among others. Viz and temperature was similar, warm, and clear at top, thermocline at 18 mts with cooler water and much less viz.

Last night we departed to las animas, but when we enter deep water, cross swell increased up to 6 ft, making the boat rock and roll. I decided to change course to San Francisco Island, and as soon as we had the stern to the seas, rolling of the boat decreased considerably.

This morning, we dove at Sea lion colony in San Francisco, we did two morning dives there and guests were very happy, they enjoyed it a lot. Both dives with great viz, 15plus and warm water.

In first dive as soon as the divers got in the water, they saw a school of barracudas really close, there were a couple of sea turtles and two very playful sea lions. In dive two there were more sea lions active who they play with a couple of our guests with a piece of wood, passing it each other. Two amazing morning dives.

After here we will move to fang Ming to finish there.
