Captain’s Noon Reports – Under Sea – 2024-09-18

Hello everyone, NUS anchored in Las Animas, 140 ft depth, 2.5 shots paid out, SW wind 10 kts and 1ft chop seas in the anchorage, sun shining and a few white patches in the sky.

We ended or day yesterday with a very nice dive in Barra del Mechudo, lots of marine life, nice topography guests did enjoy a lot.

This morning we arrived to Las Animas and so far we have done 2 great dives, sea lions playing with our guests, some turtles passing by, a pod of bottle nose dolphins next to the boat and many hammerheads during both dives, guests are loving this place.

Dive conditions are great, water temperature is 29 Celsius, viz 15 meters, plan is to do one more dive and one night dive after dinner, after that we will heave up anchor and will head to La Reina, hopefully we get some luck to and see Orcas in that area.
