Captain’s Noon Reports – Gallant Lady – 2024-09-24

NGL Sailing to Los Islotes, sunny day, air temperature 94F, calm sea now, but this morning windy, SW 15 kts and waves of 3ft.

This morning two dives were made in the Bajo, Lapaz area with visibility of 60ft on the surface and 30ft in depth, water temperature up to 60ft of 82F and thermocline at 80ft of 76F, weak current to the north on both dives.

First dive with school of more than 60 Hammerheads and many turtles and tons of reef fish, for the second dive the hammerheads separated into several groups and stayed away from the divers and some guests did not see them, but everyone was happy. The plan for the afternoon dives is to dive with sea lions at los Islotes, Espiritu Santo Island.
