NGL searching for bait balls offshore Magdalena Bay, 15.5 nm South of Punta Entrada, Magdalena Island, sky is partly cloudy, air temperature 74F.

This morning the sky was covered by fog that cleared until 1100 hrs. Guests requested to start the activity a little later because it is better to have good encounters with the bait balls and it was a good decision due to the fog this morning.

The search began near the coast to look for whales first and have reference with the island, when it cleared, they went south and it did not take long to find the bait balls, having good encounters with some static bait balls that are the favourites of all guests because they do not need to swim.

These bait balls had Marlins and Sea Lions, the dolphins stayed away from the bait balls today and they were able to see the whales. I noticed from the behaviour of the sardines that they did not run much and many marlins gathered to eat at their leisure.

Guest Anje Schultner reported ready this morning and joined the group to enjoy the bait balls.
