Humpbacks at Socorro, blue whale and humpback mommas and calves in the Sea of Cortez, and gray whales in San Ignacio Lagoon. Baja’s whales have come home for another magical winter.
It is truly extraordinary this year with unheard of humpback whales bubble net feeding off Cabo yesterday when we were out whale watching (Jan 22). And then even more magical, 3 gray whales swimming alongside the humpbacks, a sight we have never seen before.
Our divers have been amazed with in-water encounters and blasted by singing humpbacks. Guests at San Ignacio are experiencing some of the most extraordinary whale encounters on the planet.
Our spotter airplane is busy scouting blue, fin, and humpback whales, as well as orcas for our expedition yacht.
It’s shaping up to be a really busy season and because of heavy demand, we have added:
- additional fly-in glamping and luxury departures for San Ignacio
- 2 extra 8-day Baja Ultimate Whale expeditions
