Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2025-02-02

NEX at anchor at Punta Tosca 125 ft depth 3 shots out. Weather: 10-16 kts N wind, 1-2 ft seas. Clear sky. Air temp 23 C.

Yesterday afternoon at Cabo Pearce dives were good, viz got a little bit worst and the north current was dominating the afternoon. Some mantas and sharks were around.

After dinner we moved to Punta Tosca and anchored at the bay it was nice and calm. This morning, we have done 2 dives so far.

First dive was ok, divers could saw one manta for a few minutes. Some divers could see a couple of sea turtles and an octopus. Viz 18 mts, no current and temp 23C.

On second dive things got better as there were 3 mantas a few sharks, and one of the groups saw a huge tiger shark. I will send the report at the end of the day.

Half hour after all divers went back onboard a humpback whale was breaching between the fingers of Punta tosca, some guests could saw the whale from the sun deck. Hopefully on the third dive they have chances to see it.

We are planning 1 more dive here then depart to the navy base for check in and then depart after dinner to Roca Partida. Y
