Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2025-03-01

Good day! NEX reporting from Socorro Island, in Cabo Pearce dive site, it’s a sunny day with good weather, light winds from N 4-6 kts and a long swell from 2-4 ft, air temperature is 22°C and water temperature is 23°C.

We arrived at the dive site in the middle of the night around 0300 hrs and stayed the rest of the night anchored. There is another little boat with us “Storm” but they are not diving today.

We started our dive day at 0800 hrs and we have 2 pretty good dives, our guests enjoyed of dolphins the whole 1st dive of the day, besides that they saw a couple of mantas and school of hammerheads during both dives, and of course some reef fish on the dive site.

Visibility during the first dive was 70 ft but in the second one the current stopped and was around 40 ft. We will offer a skiff tour between dive 3 and 4 and after get dinner we will head up to San Benedicto Island for our last 2 days of diving. The guests are happy enjoying and chilling around the boat.
