Captain’s Noon Reports – Under Sea – 2025-03-12

Anchored in 55Ft of water at the Canyon.

This morning, we did two dives at the Boiler weather conditions were pretty decent, wind was doing 14 to 16 kts NW, air temperature was 71F, ocean was 74F, visibility averaged 75Ft of water, strong current running to the east.

Couple of mantas in first dive with a group of at least 10 Galapagos sharks trying to scoop some out of a crack looks like they had some in there to eat, some saw a little squadron of hammerhead sharks.

Second dive conditions were just about the same, swell was 4 to 6 FT NW, boat was facing wind and waves and that helped to keep the boat stable, back deck was a bit difficult but we had all hands on deck keeping things safe for the guests.

After second dive we made it around to the Canyon we made the third dive there, cleaning station was full of sharks, a big school of hammerheads sharks came around, Galapagos silver tips and some silkies were taking turns to get cleaned.

Today skies are clear.
