Captain’s Noon Reports – Under Sea – 2025-03-26

San Benedicto, anchor resting in 55Ft of water. Day started with heavy dark clouds not a single dash of blue in the sky, there was no wind and seas were flat but then a little wind came swept away clouds and now skies are cleared.

Wind doing 12kts NW seas still flat, we are getting lots of ashes from the Volcano, air temperature is 72F today ocean is 76F, visibility averaging 80Ft, they had strong current in both morning dives.

Check dive done from dive platform in leather bass alley and just as the name says it the leather bass are here in big school and trip after trip guests come up amazed by the size and number of lobsters here, in that same check dive some saw dolphins, they had three mantas, few hammerheads and lots of white tip reef sharks.

Second dive was loaded with all types of sharks (white tips, silver tips, Galapagos, black tips and silkies), mantas came around and the dolphins again the only thing was the strong current running to the east they divers weren´t comfortable as the current demanded lots from them.

My intention was to move over to the Boiler after check dive but the groups need more time to get acquainted so we are going to spend the day here. Guests excited and happy to be here, crew doing well.
