Shark Encounters and Manta Magic at Socorro
“Today was our first day of diving in the Socorro’s Archipelago and we are already amazed by what we have seen. The first dive was not like any check dive I have done before. It was far from a boring round around a rock. Sharks were everywhere: white tips, silver tips, Galapagos, and even tiger sharks! We were also blessed by a giant manta during the safety stop.
The second dive was even better. A school of hammerheads was there to welcome us into the water. Again, too many white tips, silver tips, and Galapagos to count. Several tiger sharks swam along with us. A tuna passed right in front of us, and a giant manta ray spent some time dancing in front of our eyes. The third dive was just as good as the first ones. Sharks everywhere, including more tiger sharks!
The last dive was the most amazing one. Of course, we had sharks all dive long, but I will never forget the end of the dive, surrounded by several mantas so close we could have touched them. Getting out of the water because we were running out of air and leaving them there was the hardest thing to do.”

Diving Roca Partida: Where the Ocean Comes Alive
“Today we carried out 4 dives in Roca Partida, which were full of life. The famous currents of Roca gave us a great abundance and diversity of sharks, from the classic white tips to large pregnant turtles, and black tips that are not so common to see. The pelagic life gave us a very good show with schools of hundreds of bonitos and several yellowfin tuna of an impressive size. The last dive of the day was excellent, with a great show of silkies and tuna hunting the same prey.”
