Captain’s Noon Reports – Under Sea – 2025-07-24

NUS Searching for orcas and mobulas Wind NE 5-8 kts, Seas 2 ft. Air Temp. 34 C, Clear sky. NUS currently underway to El saltito searching for mobulas and any other marine life.

This morning we were at La Reyna for diving, we did two good dives there.

First morning dive was a bit challenging as there was a mild current, but there was full of life, some sea lions, lot of reef fishes, blennies, nudibranchs and one Manta swimming around, all divers enjoyed.

Second dive was more of the same, a couple of divers skip the dive, but there was still one manta swimming around, some divers saw an octopus changing skin color which was awesome.

Water temperature was 28C and there was a good visibility 20mts.

Right now we are underway searching for marine life to El Saltito, we will take guests in the pangas to continue searching, if we cant find something we will take them to snorkel in Swanee rock and take them to bonanza beach later.

Tomorrow we will be at Las Animas for diving there.

Yesterday afternoon we had an amazing finish of the day, we were heading to la ventana to take guests to the beach for sunset, but in our way there just half Nautical mile from our bow we spotted some blows and tails raising out of the water, Orcas!!

Right away we called all guests and started to prepare the pangas to go for the orcas. They were super chill, they were feeding their babies, swimming around our guests, some passing so close, and the best was they were just for us, no other panga around.

Later, Inde 2 arrived with Gallant Lady´s guests. We stayed there until dusk. It was amazing.
