Captain’s Noon Reports – Under Sea – 2025-11-16

Roca Partida, anchor resting in 240Ft of water, beautiful day, huge 10Ft NW swell I can see how the swell is about to go over the lower part of Roca Partida. Also, we have some wind waves, very small, no effect on us, no current, visibility reported to be 120Ft plus, nice clear blue water. Wind doing 10kts NW steady winds. Air temperature is 80F, water today is 82F.

The dive full of live I haven’t been in the water but for what the guests tell me this is how I remember Roca Partida to be few year back, Roca is coming back being THE PLACE.

The north corner is full of shark, silver tips, silkies, Galapagos and white tip have to watch their swimming so they don’t run over each other, the balconies are full of reef white tip sharks, yellow fin tunas joined the crowd.

The schools of horse eyed jacks, and cotton mouths come and go they move as the sharks approach looking for a meal, wahoo on the surface, the small manta coming to each and everyone in the water, tons of other little fish on the rock.

Guests impressed by this small pinnacle sticking out in the middle of the ocean, we done two dives and we have two more to go.

Guests and crew doing great.
