Cannot believe it’s already the last day of diving. Unbelievable experience with, mantas, whale shark, VERY friendly dolphins all around us for several dives, tiger sharks, hammerheads, and lots of other cool stuff. The crew continues to go out of their way to make us comfortable and well taken care of, and the dive masters are great!

I have been on five liveaboards, the Nautilus Explorer being my fifth and has easily been the best boat as far as service, comfort and quality goes. While I am not the most experienced diver and rely on them more than most on the boat, they are able to recognize the various skill levels possessed by each diver and allow them the freedom they desire. They have thorough knowledge of the dive sights and are great spotters for the big game we all desire to see.

The first day of diving at San Benedicto, we saw Mantas and Tiger shark on every dive!! Second day of diving. And what a day it was. Four dives at Roca Partida. Hammer heads, Silver Tips, White Tips and as icing on the cake: a whale shark that circled about four times. Crew is pampering us like crazy. Dive crew is very safety conscience and works like an oiled machine.

Second time in Socorro and I came trying to not have unreasonable expectations after a mind blowing first trip. Socorro has not disappointed! The seemingly impossible has been achieved and the second trip has topped the first. Mantas, dolphins, tiger sharks, whale sharks and all the usual shark suspects have presented in their incredible beauty!!

This morning we woke up at Roca O’neal: again no other boats around. Going under we encountered a pot of dolphins right away and they came back several times, it was awesome.
The crew of Nautilus is going out of their way to make every day exceptional. It is wonderful to see that they are all very much multitasking,… and most of all making us feel welcome and comfortable.

The diving itself was lovely, with large schools of fish and numerous moray eels and well-endowed spiny lobsters. Everybody’s favorite was undoubtedly the copious piles of sleeping whitetip sharks. The rock was surrounded by several larger sharks, Galapagos, Silky, Silvertip, even Hammerheads sometimes ventured close enough for us to see without heading deep into the blue…

Socorro diving was on my bucket and I have been looking forward to this trip for a while!! And the first day of diving did not disappoint. El Canyon was awesome: Tiger sharks and schools of hammerheads every dive, in addition to the Galapagos, white tip, and silvertip sharks and rays. We also saw two mantas, one chevron and one black, what majestic animals.
