Enough sun for the dives and tanning, the morning dive have been the best manta action I have ever heard off, dive masters say they saw nine mantas, and some of the guests say they had six mantas in the same frame. Also, some other guests saw a small school of hammerhead sharks.

Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2021-11-14

We finished on a very high note yesterday afternoon, with great action right up to the very end of cage activities. The conditions were absolutely pristine the entire time. All cages were out of the water and we were underway by 1730 for our run back to Ensenada. Overnight conditions were great, with just a bit of NW seas rocking us to sleep. We never saw anything over 6 feet.

Two dives were completed at Los Islotes today, always a crowd pleaser with lots of playful sea lions to entertain. We were hoping to get to Suwanee this afternoon however the wind and swell conditions over there are too rough, so instead we are doing dive 3 at Fang Ming and we’ll do our 4th dive (twilight/night) at San Rafaelito outside the park.

Seems like most of the sharks are preferring to stay down in the distance below us for some reason, but we’ve had a couple of juveniles making occasional active runs at the bait. All the guests are having a great first day and excited for more to come.

Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2021-11-08

Today has been the best day of the trip so far. Shark activity started on the surface almost as soon as we started tossing bait, and on the second dive of the morning, we’re pretty sure we spotted eight-ten different individuals, including three very large females and the smallest white shark I’ve ever seen. she was less than six feet for sure.
