Location: The Canyon, San Benedicto Island, Socorro, Revillagigedos, Mexico
Our final day of the trip and we ere back at the canyon. We were expecting big seas and our guests were a little sad that they may not get to dive “the boiler”. As it turned out, they did not want to move from “the canyon”. I knew it was going to be a good day when I went out in the skiff and saw 5 or 6 manta feeding on the surface in the low morning light. During all three dives we were joined by not 2 or 3 but 4 manta both black and chevron and all females. They would gather together and swim around each other or spread out across a large area allowing photographers to go 1 on 1 with them. This is my second season out here and I think I’ve been truly awed at the amount of “manta time” we have had on this trip. As captain Mike would say It’s FANTASTIC !! Divemaster Buzz
