Mike’s great white shark trip of a Lifetime

Today was our second day at the Island and it has been more than we could ever had imagined.
Mike has dreamed of Great White Sharks for thirty years. He never thought he would be able to experience the excitement of seeing one swimming towards him and looking into his eyes. His dream, and the first item on his bucket list has come true.
I have never shared Mike’s dream but, agreed to come along with him to share his dream.
I have had the best time, meeting great people, not just the other guests but the most fabulous crew, ever.
The food has been excellent and they feed you continuously throughout the day. Nobody would ever go hungry. The homemade bread and cookies are amazing.
I have never had any experience in either snorkeling or diving  and planned to just sit and watch everyone else but, the Diving Crew wouldn’t let me go without trying the surface cage as they new I shouldn’t miss the experience.
Juan, one of the Dive Master’s took the time to teach me how to use the mouthpiece, how to breath, clear my mask and took me in the surface cage to experience my first vision of a Great White Shark under water.
I am so grateful to him for taking the time to give me this experience that I didn’t know I was brave enough to do.
Thank you, Juan
We can’t wait until tomorrow when we get to do it all again.
