This afternoon’s dive with Divemaster ‘Manta’ Rey at Cabo Pearce, Socorro Island, featured a pair of friendly dolphins. Not the pristine Flipper types though. These were big, battle scarred, ocean going dolphins, who chose to come and swim with us, circling round and round and putting a smile on everyone’s faces. On the same dive we also saw baby white tips, boxfish, a flounder and a beautiful black manta ray.
We have seen mantas and reef sharks on nearly every dive at San Benedicto and Socorro islands, with occasional sightings of schools of hammerheads out into the blue.
Tonight we continue to our next adventure at Roca Partida.
