We had an amazing couple of days here at San Benedicto Island. Yesterday on the second dive at the Boiler I saw five mantas at the same time for much of the dive. You couldn’t turn around without spotting another manta, it was truly magical. Today at the Canyon I had a very intimate encounter with a beautiful black manta. I was swimming along when I look over and the manta is setting up for a belly bubble bath right over my head. Once it felt the bubbles on it’s belly it started to hover motionless over my head, getting closer and closer until I had to literally sink out of the way before it landed on my head. I came out of that dive in pure happiness and so much emotion. I will never forget that moment.
