My favorite dive site the past few weeks has been The Canyon. There have been countless hammerhead sharks which have been seen in large schools or in smaller groups around the cleaning station. It’s great to be able to see them up close and personal; admiring these magnificent creatures. We’ve also been able to see the tiger sharks, manta rays and even dolphins above and below the surface.
Over the last month, we have been blessed to see humpback whales breaching the surface and swimming close to us almost every day. One unforgettable experience was at Roca Partida when a mother and her calf peacefully swam around the dive site all day and gave us the chance to see them multiple times during our dives.
It’s time for me to go back ashore and take a little break but I can’t wait to be back onboard and return to work at Revillagigedo. This season has been incredible.
