Feeling the unique connection with the mantas was an amazing experience. This chevron manta ray danced around us and even hovered above to give us shade from the sun. There was no explanation for that and I’m still thinking if the manta had been alone in the ocean for a long time and only was looking for companionship or if he just loved our company. We had to leave him after an hour otherwise we would still be at Cabo Pearce now enjoying that encounter with the manta.
