Manta Highway was epic. While we were cruising around the reef, we looked out into the blue and saw a massive school of bonitos. There were thousands of them swimming in circles and opportunistic silky and silvertip sharks were out hunting in the middle of them. At the beginning, we were outside observing the bait bail and in a split second, the silky shark opened up the school of bonitos and we found ourselves in the eye of the tornado for about 20 minutes. It was so peaceful being surrounded by them.
At the end of our dive, during our safety stop, two chevron mantas soared past us and stayed with us until we ascended.
