We Went on a Safari to Find Pelagic Life

Today we did something amazing. We went on a safari to find pelagic life supported by an airplane. We had communication with the pilot during the whole time we were out on the water. The plane would scout ahead to see where the animals were, directing us towards it. After around a 40 minute boat ride, all of a sudden we were told over the special radio that there was a pod of dolphins ahead. When we got there, my mouth fell open. There were dolphins everywhere! I think there were more than 300 of them, so amazing. All guests jumped in the water right away and were able to spend some time with them.

Right when we got back on the boat, the plane called us on the radio again. This time a fin whale was spotted. We went over there to check it out and were able to have a good look at it. Once it was gone we started making our way back a bit and we found the dolphins again. After that we made our way back to the Explorer.

What an amazing day.
