Las Animas is getting better every season. For the morning dive we went to the pinnacle on the east side of the island. It was full of barber fish, leopard groupers, different types of eels and healthy corals. After that amazing dive we went to the wall of the same eastern side that has interesting formations and caves. Inside the caves we saw many Cortez stingrays and we had an encounter with a male sea lion! On the wall we saw different types of nudibranchs and outside on the walls some of us could see some hammerhead sharks. For the afternoon dives we decided to go to the sea lion colony on the south part of the island to hang out with these playful and charismatic animals!
