Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2022-01-24

Location: The Boiler

Weather: Clouded Skies, NW Wind (7-10kts), N Swell (1-3ft)

Yesterday we arrived at San Benedicto and as soon as we arrived we dropped the anchor and we spent the night anchor at Fondeadero. Today we started our dive day at 0700 diving Fondeadero for the warm-up dive we could see three hammerheads at the beginning of the dive, some Galapagos and two dolphins but not as close as we wished, no current, then we moved to the Boiler for the 2nd dive, three chevron mantas and one black manta during the whole dive with our guests but the beauty of this is that we were watching the mantas while the whales were singing, unfortunately, we could not see them but it was beautiful.

Our plan so far is to finish the day here at The Boiler and tomorrow dive Roca Partida.

Water temperature: 77°F
