Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2022-02-10

Location: The Canyon

Weather: Clear Skies, N Light Breeze, Calm Seas

Yesterday we finish in the canyon, last two dives conditions were the same, light current to the W, a few silvertips on the cleaning station, one manta on the distance two lonely hammerheads. Yesterday after taco night we start engines and moved to the boiler, today we start at 0815 on the first dive, strong current to the S, nice but quiet first dive in the boiler, sharks stay on the deep, divers could see a few Galapagos and silvertips, some hammerheads too. On the first dive one single manta in the distance just came to say hi for a couple of minutes. The second dive was much better, sharks were still deep but this time two mantas came to play, really close this time and for more time.

Water temperature: 77°F

Visibility: 60-70ft+
