Captain’s Noon Reports – UnderSea – 2022-04-21

Location: Roca Partida

Weather: Clear Skies, Light Breeze, Calm Seas

Yesterday we did our last dives at the boiler, mantas all the time were present, three mantas were circling the divers all dive long, and one group could see a small school of nine hammerheads, some white tips on the rock, a school of yellowfin tuna.

Today we are in Roca Partida, conditions here are almost perfect, with calm seas and wind, but underwater the current is strong to the E, and visibility is over 100 ft. The first dive with lots of life, a couple of hammerheads, and around three different mantas were here all dive with the diver making rounds to the rock, wahoos, yellowfin tunas, and jacks.
Second dive same conditions, strong current to the E, great visibility, same action with the mantas, one big black and one chevron were there, yellowfin tuna, silvertips, whitetips, big lobsters, jacks, bonitos, a few Galapagos.

Water temperature: 74°F

Visibility: 100ft
