Snorkeling with hundreds of mobula rays surrounding me, swirling in a vortex of beautiful energy as they descend from the sun-lit surface into the dark depths of the ocean.
Beyond that, I have seen hundreds of dolphins jumping in our wake, numerous Bryde whales, a sea lion, a hammerhead shark, and too many beautiful birds to name.
But, the biggest life-changing experience has been swimming with the orcas. Juan David would take our skiff close to the orcas and then allow the orcas to come check us out. We would jump in the water and be within inches of these gigantic beautiful mammals who are just as curious about us as we are of them. I swam within inches of a family, the father, mother, and their baby.
This trip makes me want to do more to save our beautiful mother earth and these magical creatures of the sea. Truly a life-changing experience.
