Captain’s Noon Reports – Gallant Lady – 2022-06-03

Location: La Ventana

Weather: Clear Skies, Wind (10-12kts), Calm Seas

We took the guests to the RHIB to start searching, just 2 minutes after they went on the RHIB Katie spotted a humpback whale, fin whale, and a whale shark on the west side of Espiritu Santo, the same spot that we have been founding whales this trip, it has been a great spot the entire week, in our way we saw a fin whale but our goal was to see the whale shark, unfortunately, when we arrived it went down and we could not see it again, but we spent an amazing time with the humpback and the fin whales, there were between six and eight fin whales splits in the area, we spent 3 hours with them, great whale watching, and one whale swimming because whales did not go up to the surface for a lot of time, but was still great for the guests they took just some nice photos, and they looked like very happy. To finish our day we found a school of mobulas spent a good time with them, the weather conditions yesterday were nice.

We anchored at La Ventana, we found a good school of mobulas in the morning, guests did swing with them, after that we sailed to La Reyna, in the way we say a giant manta, but we did not see it again, now we are anchored at the northwest side of Cerralvo Island, we plan to do a dive in La Reynita, weather conditions are still good, calm in the anchorage area.

Water temperature: 74°F
