Captain’s Noon Reports – UnderSea- 2022-07-03

Location: Leona Asuncion Island

Weather: Clear Skies, W Wind (6-8kts), Swell (4-5ft)

Yesterday after the dive we started sailing first to Roque Island, however halfway the group leader talked with me about a dive site called “La Barra de la Leona”, in Asuncion Island, which has a great potential area for research they are doing, therefore we adjusted a little bit the course to go over there we anchored and after the briefing we had one dive in “La Barra de la Leona”, no current, and the people came out of the water really happy because apart from their research they saw turtles, sea lions, and dolphins, it is a nice spot with great marine life, after the dive, we did raise the anchor and now we are underway to the next dive site in Roque Island, we plan to do 2 more dives.

Water temperature: 55°F

Visibility: 40ft
